David Beckham and Victoria Adams Commemorated Secret Second Wedding with New Tattoo

February 18, 2008 05:06:54 GMT

David Beckham and wife Victoria Adams have renewed their wedding vows in secret, it has been reported.

David Beckham and Victoria Adams' secret second wedding has been revealed.

The husband and wife, who've been considered by many as one of the hottest celebrity couples, have reportedly renewed their wedding vows in secret and commemorated it with a new tattoo.

According to The Mirror, David arranged his secret second wedding to Victoria without even telling her, flew her back to their Beckingham Palace estate in Britain before then got down on one knee to once again pop the question.

"David was meticulously planning the big day for months. It was a huge undertaking to keep it all under wraps," a friend of the couple told The Mirror. "He was desperately excited but had had to keep quiet with everyone but his and Victoria's closest family."

"Only a handful of people were at the ceremony and they've managed to keep it under wraps for nearly two years," the friend added further. "It was an incredibly beautiful day and everyone lucky enough to be present was in tears when they repeated their vows. It was simple, beautiful and very non-showbiz. It was about them as a couple and a family unit - not glitz and glamor."

That was not all, as the following day David surprised Victoria with a second honeymoon in Paris complete with dinner at Michelin three star restaurant Guy Savoy. The soccer stud, still according to the friend, then took Victoria shopping to Azzedine Alaia and Colette, which were two of her favorite stores, and told her to choose anything she wanted as a wedding gift.

David and Victoria then marked the occasion by having matching wrist tattoos of Roman numeral VIII.V.MMVI, which stands for 8 May 2006 - the date of the ceremony.

Only a handful of friends and family were invited to the Beckhams' second wedding, with sons Brooklyn Joseph and Romeo James served as the page boys. In addition to both sons, David and Victoria who first married on July 4, 1999, also have another son named Cruz David.

Grooming For Your Wedding

Look into these 6 months before your wedding day:

1. List down your problem areas that you want to target. Say if you have wide hips you may need to slim down but in most cases, the right wedding gown can conceal this flaw.

2. List down all your asset you want to flaunt. Don't think that you don't have to do anything about your good qualities. These are the things you want to show off so you still have to work on it.

3. Start with your hair. Too frizzy? Or you need to grow it to a certain length before your wedding? This assessment will give you the time to select your styles of the day and work towards them. If you have dry hair, then start treating your hair now. Want to try short fringe but dread that they will turn out bad? Take this time to experiment and improvise.

4. Next, your skin. Do you have acne? Enlarged pores? If you have too much on your hands in preparing for your wedding, it is good to take a break and pamper yourself at a beauty parlour. If you want to go for something major like microdermabrasion, do it now rather than 1 week before the wedding as you can have post peeling and redness.

5. Look at your skin condition on other parts of your body. Do you have back acne? Or dry skin on your neck and cleavage area? Looking after them now will ensure they look picture perfect later.

6. Watch your weight. You have to love yourself for who you are but it won't harm to trim that tummy or get a toner and tighter body. Don't kill yourself with dangerous drugs and crash diets, just follow sensible eating advise like the calorie shifting method and doing regular body-targeted exercises. Say if you need to give your breasts a lift then do pectoral toning exercise.

7. Don't forget to remove unwanted hair.

8. You are going to be smiling and laughing a lot during this time so it pays to have your teeth whiten at a dentist's office or buy a DIY home kit.

Dressing Up For Beach Wedding

A wedding on the beach seems like an exotic idea; whether in Hawaii, Goa, or the beach-belt along South-East Asia. It could be a lot of fun, and a lot more informal, than the otherwise formal traditional wedding formats. In fact, in recent times a lot more people are opting for varied locations and themes for their wedding, rather than sticking to the age-old traditional rituals and methods.

A beach wedding calls for a different kind of planning, altogether. Firstly, it is the most informal type of wedding, where one would rather not wear a flowing wedding gown with heavy jewelry, et al. The bride should be as comfortable and casual, as she pleases. And the same should be told to the guests being invited. Remember, no one wants sand slipping into the finest and most expensive of clothes.

Dressing up for beach wedding means casual and yet classy, as well as elegant. Therefore, apart from the dress, which could be sleeveless and strappy, one needs accessories to go well. But this need not be expensive and flashy stuff. It could be something flowery, or even a pearl set would do the magic. Where footwear is concerned, experts recommend sandals (avoid very high heels - maximum an inch or two), of then flip-flops.

For the groom, well he can be as casual as the bride. That does not exactly mean beachwear. A recommend from some wedding stylists is a casual white shirt with a pair of linen trousers and a pair of beach footwear. As they the color white simply stands out on a sunny day, on the beach while celebrating your wedding.

Parents of the bride and groom should also opt for a casual look and expect to enjoy getting their kids married, as though going out on a picnic. Supposedly that is the entire behind a unique wedding celebration on the beach. Let the kids get into flowery dresses and the boys can wear their shorts with beach-shirts.

Importantly, when inviting friends and relatives do not forget to tell them that they should be causally dressed. Most guests overlook this and end up dressing up as though they are attending a typical traditional wedding. And obviously the bride and groom do not want embarrassed guests regretting what they wear in the midst of this wonderful celebration.

Day Of Wedding Coordination: An Invaluable Service

The big day is approaching, and after having dedicated so much time to the planning and perfecting of every aspect of your wedding (not to mention the money), do you dare leave the execution of these details to chance? You are the bride and should be carrying a bouquet not a clipboard! You will need to have someone that can be responsible for putting all of the elements and details in place on the wedding day.

To accommodate these needs, a service that has grown tremendously in popularity is "Month Of" and "Day Of" wedding coordination. These services can take this pressure off of you and allow you to enjoy your wedding day without worry.

"Month Of" and "Day Of" coordinators can be hired for your wedding day at any time during the planning, but generally don't "jump into" your planning until 1-2 months prior to the wedding day. At this point the coordinator will be assisting you in pulling together an itinerary, confirming vendor commitments and double-checking the details, decisions, and services that you have already contracted for. The coordinator will be working with the information you give her to formulate a master plan for the entire day, so that you can rest assured that the details are in place and the event is being managed by a professional. Because these services are not as extensive as a coordination package that covers all the planning from beginning to end, "Month Of" and "Day Of" is a very budget friendly way to get peace of mind on your wedding day.

When beginning the search for a "Month Of" or "Day Of" wedding coordinator, you may find yourself with a number of questions. First of all, wedding coordinators use many different titles (Wedding Coordinator, Event Producer, Event Designer, Wedding Director, etc.), as well as a myriad of titles for their range of services (Wedding Day Service, Wedding Day Direction, "Month Of" and "Day Of"). Ask specific questions of these coordinators to determine if they offer the service that you are looking for.

Secondly, you may be wondering what is the difference between the catering manager at the hotel and a (personal) wedding coordinator? Wedding coordinators offer a different range of services than these other professionals. Specifically a coordinator is working for you, not the hotel or location, and he/she is there to see that your wishes and requests are carried out as well as to assist in planning that is not related to the hotel or location. Ask the staff at your wedding location what they will and won't do to determine your additional needs. Coordinators will work with the personnel at your ceremony and/or reception venue to ease the planning process and provide you peace of mind.

What does this cost? Just as there are many titles for wedding coordinators, there are many different fee structures. It will take some investigating to find a coordinator that fits your needs, and that is within your budget. Typically, pricing ranges from $750.00 to $3,000+ for "Month Of" and "Day Of" services. The number of years of experience, geographical location of the wedding coordinator and typical clientele are just a few items that will affect price. The price will also be determined by a number of specific factors and details related to your wedding. Not all coordinators offer these services, but most do. You can use the Internet, local bridal magazines, bridal shows and referrals from other vendors to find a wedding coordinator.

Typical examples of services that a wedding coordinator would provide for a "Month Of" or "Day Of" wedding service

"Month Of" Services
Referrals to wedding day vendors (optional)

Access to consultant for related questions (via phone or email)

Meeting with client to develop a timeline for the wedding day Confirmation of vendor commitments for the wedding day

Direction of the rehearsal

Distribution of timeline to necessary vendors and wedding party

Coordination and direction of wedding day events (set hours)

"Day Of" Services

Direction of the rehearsal

Distribution of timeline to wedding party (as prepared by bride)

Coordination and direction of wedding day events (set hours)

NOTE: For "Day Of" service, the bride will take the responsibility of preparing a timeline, confirming details and commitments with vendors, and all other related duties. The consultant will carry out the duties based upon the brides planning and preparations. In these instances where the consultant has no previous interaction with vendors, the consultant is only as good as the information the bride provides.

Whether you are planning a wedding that is big or small, casual or formal, the knowledge, professionalism, and assistance a wedding coordinator can provide for you, is well worth the cost. Of course most wedding consultants also offer more detailed planning assistance as well, but "Month Of" and "Day Of" services offer invaluable planning assistance that every bride can benefit from.
